Student of the Month Nomination Process
Student of the Month nominations should be submitted using an online nomination form that can be found on the district's intranet. Each school is encouraged to submit a nomination for deserving students. Applications will be reviewed by a panel of judges and rated based on a rubric. The nomination with the highest score will be selected to represent the district as the Superintendent's Student of the Month.

The Student of the Month nomination form can be found on the district’s internal website, ACORN or click on the link here. The form must be completed and submitted online. Please contact District Communications if you are having difficulty accessing the form by calling 912-395-5538.
Student of the Month Timeline: The selected Student of the Month will be recognized during the monthly School Board Meetings and will be required to attend the Board meeting to be honored by the Superintendent and the Board. The student's parents and teachers are encouraged to attend as well. The Superintendent will present the student with a plaque and a gift certificate courtesy of Savannah Schools Federal Credit Union.
Student of the Month Nominations: You may submit as many deserving students from your school as you like, but please submit individual student nominations only once. Multiple nominations for the same student are not required. All nominations are kept on file for an opportunity to be featured at any time throughout the year.
Incomplete nominations will not be accepted.
The student's photo and summary of achievements will be featured on the district website and sent to all existing media contacts. A photo session will be scheduled for the student to take an 8x10 glossy photo that will be displayed in the entrance area of the district's Central Office located at 208 Bull Street and for use in print materials and the website.
