An applicant who holds a Professional certificate from another state, a U.S. territory, the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) or the Department of Defense Schools will be eligible for at least an initial certificate in Georgia. The certificate must be a professional certificate defined as one for which the applicant has met all course requirements in the state of issuance. Temporary, provisional or alternative certificates do not meet this definition.
