Instructional Support Person of the Year
Largo-Tibet Elementary School
There are many things that I have accomplished, however I feel my greatest contribution is the ability to work and positively affect the lives of children on a daily basis.
I began working with children in 1998 as a bus driver for Laid Law Transit. In August 2000 I was employed with the board of education as a custodian at White Bluff Elementary. While working at White Bluff Elementary I have been certified in CPR, CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute), and Red Cross First Aid. I was also White Bluff Elementary support person of the year in 2005.
In March 2010 I left White Bluff Elementary to become Head custodian at Largo-Tibet Elementary. Since working at Largo-Tibet I have certificate of completion in head custodian team approach workshop, Head custodian supervising for quality workshop and head custodian The Art of Criticism Giving and Taking.
I feel that I can strengthen education by always making sure that the school is always cleaned and sanitized. The children can learn better in a clean and sanitized environment. They do not have to worry about getting infections and germs.
