Katina Hardy-Parker

Mrs. Hardy-Parker began her career in education in 2004-05 as an Interrelated Special Education teacher at Savannah High School. After her first year, she was appointed as the Exceptional Child Support Teacher (ECST) and 504 Coordinator. She remained at Savannah High School for six years before transferring to Godley Station School in its first year of opening in the Fall of 2010. She taught at Godley Station School for two years as an Interrelated Special Education Teacher. After this appointment, she served as the Exceptional Child Support Teacher (ECST) and 504 Coordinator at Woodville-Tompkins Technical and Career High School from 2012-2015 where she served on the team that graduated its first cohort of graduates with a 100% graduation rate. She has several years of experience in working for the school district with the District Twilight Program as the District Twilight Coordinator and as the District Summer School Coordinator. Following this assignment, Mrs. Hardy-Parker was appointed the Assistant Principal of Mercer Middle School in 2015. She is a native of Savannah and is married with one beautiful daughter and grandson.

Mrs. Hardy-Parker is a proud graduate of Savannah High School. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Savannah State University in Sociology with a minor of Psychology. Armstrong State University is where she earned her Master’s degree in Learning Disabilities with a concentration in Interrelated Special Education. She currently holds an Education Specialists degree in Education Administration, and has continued her studies in the Doctoral program at Georgia Southern University in Educational Leadership. Mrs. Hardy-Parker’s vision is to have all students succeed and prepared to enter the 21st Century global workforce. She believes that as educators we must use our students’ strengths to build up their weaknesses which can only happen through consistent and effective instruction and healthy relationships through a whole child approach.
