Mandatory 8th Grade Parent Meeting on Tuesday
Please be advised that there is a mandatory meeting for all 8th grade parents on Tuesday, March 14. We will have a morning session from 8:00-9:00 am (in the media center) and an evening session from 6:00-7:30 pm (in the cafeteria). Please be on time, as the presentation will begin promptly at the start of each meeting. In this meeting, students will pre-register for 9th grade courses, discuss their individual graduation plans, and select a college and career pathway for high school. All 8th grade students and parents must meet and conference with their advisor in order to review and sign for their graduation plan for the 2017-2018 school year. Both the counseling department and the 8th grade teachers will be there to help. We look forward to seeing you at this very important meeting!

8th Grade Meeting for At-Risk Students on Tuesday
There will be a brief meeting in Room C-3 from 5:30-6:00 pm on March 14 for students who have been identified as “at-risk for failing” for the school year. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss your child’s current academic status and the promotion criteria for passing 8th grade as well as critical safeguards (such as tutorials) that have been put in place to ensure your child has every opportunity to succeed at STEM. This meeting is by invitation only. If your child falls into the "at-risk for failing" category, your child’s homeroom teacher will notify you to attend this required meeting for at-risk students. We appreciate your support!
