8th graders: Charge iPads for Testing on Tuesday

All 8th grade students must bring their school iPads fully charged on Tuesday, April 25th for testing. The iPad will be secured at school through May 2nd. Loaner iPads will be made available to those students who have iPads out for repairs. If there are any questions, please contact Ms. Peacock (mary.peacock@sccpss.com).


Yearbooks for Purchase

There are a limited number of yearbooks still available for purchase. Order forms are in the STEM main office or you can go to www.leonards.com/yearbooks and use the code C375895 to order. Yearbooks will be distributed to students the last week of school.


Mandatory Parent Meeting for 8th Grade Orlando Trip on May 2

There will be a MANDATORY parent meeting for parents of any 8th grade student going on the class trip to Orlando on Tuesday, May 2 at 5:30 pm in the STEM Academy Cafeteria. Important logistics and expectations will be discussed. If you cannot attend, you must contact Ms. Lash (stephanie.lash@sccpss.com) before the meeting.


8th Grade Field Day Parent Volunteers Needed

The 8th grade team is looking for parent volunteers to assist with field day during the school day on May 17. If you are interested in volunteering or donating games, please email Allyson Morgan at allyson.morgan@sccpss.com.


Save the Date for the 8th Grade Bridging Ceremony

The STEM Academy 8th Grade Bridging Ceremony will take place on Thursday, May 18 at 6 pm at Calvary Baptist Church, located at 4625 Waters Avenue in Savannah. If you have questions, please contact Allyson Morgan at allyson.morgan@sccpss.com.


Announcing the Nevermore Student Film Festival on May 25

Film@STEM and Focus Lab, LLC are proud to present this year's Nevermore Student Film Festival. The festival is scheduled for May 25 at 6 pm at Savannah Station. Tickets and more information are available online at nevermorefilmfestival.weebly.com. Students are encouraged to submit entries in over ten categories. Scholarships will be awarded to winners.

To submit a student project, join our Google Classroom using the code: roqoj2. Deadline to submit is May 5. Contact Mrs. Rogers Lamberth with any questions.


Parent Volunteers Needed for Film Festival

Parents, we need your help! We are currently looking for sponsors and donations for this year's Nevermore Student Film Festival. If you would like to assist with taking tickets at the festival, have Audiovisual/Technology equipment, are willing to photograph the event, etc., please contact Mrs. Rogers Lamberth at mary.rogers@sccpss.com. Please share with your friends and family! Sponsorships are tax deductible!


STEM Ravens Athletics News

$10 Sports Physicals for Next Year on May 3 For students interested in playing sports next year, $10 physicals will be offered at Beach High School on May 3 from 3:30-5:30 pm. Please be sure your child brings a physical packet with him/her. Doors close promptly at 5:30 pm.


STEM Academy PTSA News

Last PTSA Meeting of the Year on May 2 Our last PTSA meeting will be on Tuesday, May 2 at 5:30 pm in the Media Center. The meeting will be over prior to the 8th grade Orlando trip meeting at 6:00 pm. At this meeting, we will vote on incoming officers and discuss a summer event with the Savannah Bananas baseball team! The officer slate is posted in the front office! We hope to see you there!
