7th Grade Immunizations
Attention all 7th grade parents! Georgia law requires that students entering 7th grade must have 1 dose of Tdap and 1 dose of MCV4 vaccines. In accordance with state law, we cannot allow your child to attend school unless we receive a current Form 3231 with all required vaccinations. Please check to make sure your child's immunizations are up to date. Thank you.
First Lego League
Tryouts for The STEM Academy First Lego League teams will begin on Tuesday, September 5th. All students interested in trying out must see Mr. Hanna in room J-2 this week for an application packet. Million Book Challenge
The Savannah Chatham County Public School System has launched a K-5 Balanced Literacy Initiative. Balanced Literacy builds strong readers through engagement with high interest, relevant reading. In order to support our students in this initiative, we are having a Million Book Challenge. The goal is to provide EVERY K-5 classroom with its own library!
Each school is challenged to raise 12,000 books. Prizes such as 3D printers and other technology are available to schools for high donations. Drop off locations are outside the main office and outside Mrs. Lamberth's room.
We are still working hard to make sure that every student has an iPad. Please remember that in order for students to take home home their iPad, they must have a completed Technology User Agreement and a protective iPad case. StayMobile is available on Thursdays from noon until 3:00 pm to pay for insurance. At this time, you will be able to pay for iPad insurance with cash, check, and credit/debit card. Insurance is available for purchase through September 30, 2017, but please note any damage to an iPad that occurs outside of insurance activation is the responsibility of the user to pay for repairs. Thank you for your patience and flexibility
