No form, no audition. Please see Mrs. Glass in E3 or Mr. Saxon in C6 for more information.

The entire month of October, we are celebrating Socktober! Drop off new adult sock donations in baskets located throughout the school. PTSA Reflections Art Contest

STEM's PTA Reflections Art Contest is in full swing! Students can grab paper, paint and pencils for writing, painting and drawing; an iPhone or iPad for snapping pics and making videos; music for dancing; instruments for music composition . . . all great tools for helping them create original works of art reflecting this years theme, "Within Reach". This year there are six different categories: photography, film production, dance choreography, music composition, literature and visual arts.

Entry Forms and the official Contest Rules are available on Google Classroom, our Facebook page, and on our scups home page under the Reflections Contest link. All entries are due October 20th, but early entries are encouraged. Hand in original art projects to Mr. Baluh in room B2, along with an entry form. You can enter multiple times in multiple categories, so start creating, Ravens!

STEM PTSA Fundraiser for Water Coolers

The STEM PTSA would like to purchase water coolers, installing them at each of the current “water stations”, throughout the school. Most of our students currently carry water bottles with them but have difficulties refilling them during the day. Not only will this system allow students to refill those bottles, but it will also have a meter that will represent the number of plastic bottles the school has saved from the area landfills.

We do not want the students involved in any direct fundraising for this event and instead we are asking for families to consider a donation directly to the cause. Please consider a cash donation to the PTSA, and make sure to ask your employer if they also would be willing to do the same.

Our goal is to raise $7,000 for 5 water coolers by November 10, 2017.

To make this as smooth as possible please:

· Make your checks payable to “STEM PTSA”
· Put “water cooler” on the memo line.
· Place the check in an envelope with your student’s name and home room teacher’s name.
· We will use these envelopes to get a receipt to you via your student’s home room teacher.

100% of the money raised stays with the school and your contribution may be tax deductible, consult your tax accountant. Thank you in advance!
