WHAT IS STEM EDUCATION?

At The STEM Academy, a STEM education is defined as an integrated approach to learning that provides hands-on and relevant learning experiences for students to understand and apply content beyond the mere transfer of knowledge. It engages students and equips them with critical thinking, problem solving, creative and collaborative skills, and ultimately establishes connections between the school, work place, local community and the global economy. It is an innovative approach to the world; a critical way to understand and explore and engage with the world, and then have the capacity to change the world.
