Monica Jones

Information Specialist

Monica Jones has been employed with the Savannah Chatham County school district for 15 years. She received her Masters of Arts Degree in Management and Leadership from Webster University in 2009, and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from South University in 1999.  After working in Human Resources in a hospital setting for 10 ½ years, she decided that she wanted a career change so that she could advance her career in business and gain the knowledge and confidence to successfully manage projects and motivate others.

Mrs. Jones chose to work as an Information Specialist because she enjoys administrative work and interacting with children and the community. She believes that it is extremely important that all school stakeholders (staff, students, parents, and community) have positive experiences when visiting our schools. “First impressions” are indeed lasting and it is Mrs. Jones’ personal mission to ensure that everyone who comes in contact with her at the school level or district level feels welcome and their needs are addressed.

As ISPY, Mrs. Jones will work diligently to foster the mission and vision of our school system, to promote the academic success of our students. Mrs. Jones believes that the learning process should be one that becomes habitual. Education shouldn’t end once the student graduates high school, college, or any other institution. By creating a passion for learning, the students create a lifetime of opportunities.
