Capitol Watch

The Power at your Fingertips

Imagine all the PTA advocacy information you need and want in one place. Capitol Watch is the site to bookmark, whether you're a die-hard "policy wonk" or just looking out specifically for your particular PTA committee or project or issue.

Capitol Watch will tell you what's what, who's who, and how you can make a difference in the state policies that determine our children's educational future. It is the best advocacy and information tool since the telephone. And it is just one of your membership benefits from Georgia PTA!

Visit http://www.georgiapta.org/issues-capitol-watch.html to learn more!!

PTA is ...

  • A powerful voice for all children,
  • A relevant resource for families and communities, and A strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child.

PTA Vision:

  • Making every child's potential a reality.

PTA Mission:

  • The West Chatham Parent Teacher Association is dedicated to serving the students and supporting the staff and faculty.
  • The WCES PTA’s goal is for all parents and teachers to join and support their efforts to help all students succeed.

---What is PTA?

The PTA is an organization for families and staff of West Chatham that care about building a better educational environment for ALL of our children. We strive for continued parent involvement and help promote a school community where staff and administrators can do the best job possible.

---Why should I join?

Your membership dues help the PTA to be able to donate funds to purchase educational materials and equipment for the school; as well as helping the PTA in efforts to help the local community. The PTA provides numerous opportunities during the school year for West Chatham families and members of the community to meet at the school and learn about topics like safety and health, and above all, have fun!

----Why should I volunteer?

There are endless ways, small and large, that you can make a difference. By volunteering you will be interacting with your children’s friends and their parents so you can share ideas and success stories!

We invite all parents to join and support our PTA. Membership is $5.00 per person. PTA Application will be sent home with your child. Please complete form, attach appropriate fees and return to your child's homeroom teacher or the front office.
