Woodville Tompkins High School student Andre Massey Jr. chosen to represent the Deep Center in Washington, DC where they will be receiving a National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award along with a $10,000 grant presented by the First Lady, Michelle Obama.

Woodville Tompkins students participated on 3rd Annal TAG STEM Awards Student Pannel

These students participated in a student panel during the 3rd Annual TAG STEM Awards at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center on Friday, September 26th. The panel was an open discussion from a student’s perspective of what it’s like to attend a specialty STEM school and how they think it has been beneficial. They took questions from both the speaker and audience.

 

Woodville Tompkins students complete SEEP Savannah Program

Jamyriah Plummer, Naya Williams, Destiney Heard and Keisha Lee completed the rigouros  Student Educational Enrichment Program (SEEP) Savannah Pre-College 2014.

SEEP Savannah Pre-College 2014 is a 6 week, non-residential summer program for junior and sen-iors enrolled in the SLC at the Alfred E. Beach High School and juniors at Woodville -Tompkins High School in Savannah, Georgia. SEEP program partici-pants enroll in a college–level, introductory biology course with hands-on labs. The course offers 4-hours of college credit. In addition, students engage in biomedical research methodology and technology training offered through a partnership with Savannah State University. Tuition and other program expenses are paid by the GRU Medical College of Georgia. Participants receive a stipend to assist with expenses. SEEP summer program activities are held on the Savannah State University campus. To learn more about the SEEP program click here
