The Woodville-Tompkins Alumni Scholarship Foundation is proud to announce that it has awarded a $5,000 scholarship to Jarkelious Kelly, a senior at Woodville-Tompkins. This is the first scharship awarded by the Foundation. Jarkelious plans to attend Fort Valley State University in the fall to major in Psychology.

Jarkelious has a 3.0 GPA and has earned college credits as a dual-enrolled student at Savannah Technical College. He has completed the Nursing Assistant Program at Woodville-Tompkins, and is a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). His future plans are to earn a Ph.D. in Psychology and become a Mental Health Counselor.

Rev. Chester Ellis, President of the WTHS Alumni Scholarship Foundation, and members of the Foundation presented Jarkelious with the scholarship at the Senior Awards Night Banquet, held at Woodville-Tompkins on Thursday, May 21, 2015.

The Woodville-Tompkins High School Alumni Scholarship Foundation was established in 2009 to assist the students of Woodville-Tompkins in pursuing their career goals at a post-secondary institution. Since its inception, the Foundation has provided funding for college tours, school uniforms, and other events that students participate in during the school year.
